Pia was the first Alaskan Malamute imported to Norway from Continental Europe as a puppy. Earlier, rabies restrictions made it impossible to import dogs younger than 8-9 months old to Norway.

Pia was a funny and impulsive dog - full of humour and jokes. Temperamentwise she was on the soft side. She was sweet and playful to every dog she met regardsless of sex, age, and size, and got very well along with my other two bitches and my male. She was extraverted and loved to attend whatever we did. She also liked going to shows to meet all the other dogs there, but felt judges were a bit spooky with their staring gaze.

Pia had a balanced and enduring gait. She was substantially built and full of muscles.

Pia had only one litter of 7 pups, and died much much to young. A dog I will never get over loosing. Of her 7 pups, 4 became Norwegian Show Champions in only a few shows. One became both BIS and BISS-NS13 and several placed in the very top in National Specialties in Norway and Sweden. Her grandson Inupiat's Quuniqsuq Jason became the first Norwegian bred Alaskan Malamute to take the breed at CRUFTS (2013).
